Abstract

The crime of human trafficking is an extraordinary crime so that when there is an effort to overcome it will also
have an impact on human rights in the form of the right to obtain a decent living and the right to obtain work.
The legal problem examined in this paper is to what extent is the impact of handling human trafficking on the
protection of human rights in the perspective of the right to a decent living and the right to work? This research
is an empirical juridical research. The results of the study found that the issuance of East Nusa Tenggara
governor's decree No. 358 / KEP / HK / 2018 concerning the Termination of the Appointment of Inter-Regional
Worker Candidates from East Nusa Tenggara Province Out of East Nusa Tenggara Province is very inaccurate
because there are not enough jobs available for East Nusa Tenggara people so it is suggested that there is a need
for top priority from the Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara to provide employment for the people of
East Nusa Tenggara Province.
