Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimum pH and mass of adsorption of Pb(II) metal ion using activated carbon adsorbent from kesambi wood (Schlecera oleosa) from Timor Island and to determine the optimum pH and mass of pH variations used 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 while the optimum mass is with a variation of 0.1 g; 0.2 g; 0.4 g; 0.6 g; 0.8 g and 1 g. Optimization is carried out using a batch system. The results showed that the optimum pH of adsorption occurred at pH 5 with an adsorption power of 0.6229 mg/g, while the optimum mass of Pb(II) metal ion adsorption was 0.2 grams with an adsorption power of 0.837 mg/g.
