ANALISIS NON PRODUCT OUTPUT PADA PROSES PRODUKSI DI PABRIK GULA X MADIUN

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Pabrik Gula X adalah industri yang bergerak dalam bidang agrobisnis yang memproduksi
produk gula. Pada Pabrik Gula X khususnya di bagian teknik atau dapat disebut di bagian proses
produksi masih terdapat Non Product Output (NPO) yaitu blotong dan abu yang belum dapat
dimanfaatkan secara maksimal, sehingga proses produksi di PG X belum mencapai produksi
bersih. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui persentase NPO dibagian proses
produksi di PG X, kemudian memberikan usulan terkait pengolahan produk NPO. Teknik analisis
yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode NPO. Pengambilan data NPO di bagian proses produksi
diambil selama satu bulan dengan cara pengamatan langsung di setiap bagian proses produksi.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan persentase NPO masih cukup tinggi yaitu 9,4% produk yang
terbuang. Beberapa usulan diberikan untuk meningkatkan kemanfaatan dari beberapa NPO
tersebut.

ABSTRACT
PG X Madiun is a sugar factory, an industry engaged in agribusiness that produces sugar
products. At PG X, especially in the engineering section or it can be called in the production
process section, there are still Non Product Output (NPO) namely blotong and ash that cannot be
utilized optimally, so that the production process at PG X has not reached clean production. This
research aims to determine the percentage of NPO in the production process section at PG X, then
provide suggestions related to the processing of NPO products. The analytical technique used is
the NPO method. NPO data collection in the production process is taken for one month by direct
observation in each part of the production process. The results of this study indicate that the
percentage of NPO is still quite high, namely 9.4% of wasted product. Several proposals were
given to increase the benefits of those NPOs.
