Hubungan Antara Kontrol Diri dengan Kecanduan Internet (Internet Addiction) pada Remaja di Desa Namangkewa

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of self-control, internet addiction (internet addiction) in adolescents and whether there is a relationship between self-control and internet addiction (internet addiction) among adolescents in Namangkewa Village. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of descriptive correlation research. This research was conducted in Namangkewa Village, Sikka Regency with a total population of 142 people with a sample of 43 people. Data collection techniques using  a  Likert  scale  questionnaire.  The  data analysis  technique  used  is  descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the help of SPSS for Windows 25 version. The results showed that adolescents in Namangkewa Village have self-control in  the  low  category,  namely  with  a  presentation  of  67%  and  adolescent  internet addiction in Namangkewa Village are in the high category with a presentation of 49%. The results of the product moment correlation analysis show that self-control is related to internet addiction with a significant value of 0.05, so it can be said that there is a correlation with the value of r-table = -0.342 > 0.30083. Based on the results it was concluded that self-control has a negative relationship with internet addiction in adolescents in Namangkewa Village
