Peran Konselor dalam Penanganan dan Pencegahan Masalah Kesehatan Mental Siswa di Sekolah

Penanganan masalah kesehatan mental siswa di sekolah merupakan tantangan yang memerlukan peran penting dari konselor. Berbagai literatur yang relevan mengenai kesehatan mental siswa, peran konselor, dan intervensi di sekolah dikaji untuk mengidentifikasi pola, strategi, serta efektivitas intervensi konseling yang telah diterapkan di lingkungan pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa konselor berperan tidak hanya sebagai penyedia layanan konseling, tetapi juga sebagai fasilitator dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung kesehatan mental siswa. Konselor berkontribusi dalam upaya pencegahan, intervensi dini, serta pemulihan dengan menerapkan pendekatan yang komprehensif melalui konseling individual, kelompok, dan kerja sama dengan pihak terkait seperti guru, orang tua, serta psikolog profesional. Kesimpulannya, konselor sekolah memiliki peran sentral dalam mendukung kesehatan mental siswa, meskipun diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas dan dukungan sistemik agar intervensi yang dilakukan dapat berjalan lebih efektif.
