Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe community empowerment through educational programs at the Floresta Smart House in Kamubheka Village, Ende Regency. Floresta Smart House is a non-formal educational institution that focuses on improving literacy, skills, and community participation through three main programs: Community Reading Gardens (TBM), Tutoring, and Computer Training. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with informants consisting of managers, the community, and learners. The results show that the three programs play an important role in increasing reading interest, academic abilities, and basic technological skills in the community. Although the level of community participation is still low, this activity has succeeded in fostering children's learning motivation and parental awareness of the importance of education. Supporting factors for empowerment include management support and community involvement, while the main obstacles are limited facilities, mentoring staff, and consistent participant attendance. This study concludes that Floresta Smart House has had a positive impact on improving the quality of human resources and creating a more independent and empowered community.
