Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of family support in the rehabilitation process of drug users in Kupang City. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, using the snowball sampling technique to select informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that family support consists of five main forms: emotional, instrumental, informational, appraisal, and spiritual support. Emotional support is provided through care, empathy, and warmth; instrumental support through financial assistance, the provision of basic needs, and physical accompaniment; informational support through advice and guidance; appraisal support through praise and appreciation; and spiritual support through prayer and spiritual encouragement. These findings emphasize that family involvement has a significant influence on the success of the rehabilitation process for drug users.
