Luas Serangan dan Tingkat Kerusakan Tanaman Jagung oleh Spodoptera frugiperda Di Kecamatan Wewiku, Kabupaten Malaka

Abstract

Corn ( Zea mays L.) is wrong one commodity food second tree after paddy in Indonesia. Corn contain a number of a compound consisting of from carbohydrates, fats, proteins, calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), vitamins, minerals, and water. Farmer in cultivate plant corn no miss from problem organism bully plants (OPT) and wrong the only one is caterpillar army. Study this aim for knowing large attack and level damage caused by S. frugiperda on plant corn in Subdistrict Wewiku, District Malaka and has held on April to June 2022. Method study is survey with technique observation by direct to plant corn showing symptom damage by S. frugiperda on land owned by farmer in three location, that is Village Weseben, Village Alkane, and Village Lemongrass. Results study show that: 1) Village Lemongrass is wrong one level village damage by S. frugiperda highest on plant corn  with large attack  of 95.50%, followed by by Village Alkane with large attack by 86.58%, and the lowest there is in Village Weseben with large attack by 69.92%. Height large attack by S. frugiperda because besides corn is wrong one plant mother, too availability adequate food; 2) Intensity damage by S. frugiperda is the highest there is in Village Lemongrass with an average of 26.12%, followed by by Village Alkane by 23.17%, while the lowest Village Weseben by 6.48% for 12 observations. Height intensity damage, really related with a lot population S.  frugiperda  that attacks plant corn.
